Born and raised in India, Jay came to the United States at the age of 20 for post graduate studies and became an American citizen in 1976, the bicentennial year. Now retired, Jay worked as a CPA for over three decades and established his own accounting firm in 1979 in East Bay, California, with a specialization in tax planning, consultation, and preparation as well as management consulting.
 
He and his wife Vicki moved to Maui in March, 2016 to spend time with their two sons, daughter-in-law, and soon to be two-year old grandson Romeo.     
 
Jay was inducted by Rotary District 5000 Youth Service Chair and Sergeant at Arms, Joanne Laird. Melissa Crawley served as his membership sponsor.
