Welcome New Member Judy Bishop!!
At a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset Judy Bishop was inducted as the newest member of the club.  Bishop was inducted into the club by Assistant District Governor Marti Wukelic and she was sponsored by Past President Joanne Laird.

Bishop was born and raised in a small upsate New York town called Binghamton. She received her undergraduate degree from State University of New York Binghamton and her graduate degree from Syracuse University.

In 1991 she started an industrial supply company called Apex Pinnacle. Apex Pinnacle was a small woman-owned business that sold exclusively to local, state and federal government agencies throughout the country on a formal bid basis. Apex Pinnacle became a multimillion dollar Corporation that employed 15 people.  Bishop joined Hillcrest Rotary in 1996 to find opportunities to give back to the community where she lived.  After 25 years in business she sold Apex Pinnacle.  At the same time she began her search for a new residence where the weather was better and the sun did shine.  Binghamton was known for having the least amount of sunshine of any city in the United Sates.

Bishop purchased a house in Launiupoko in the summer of 2017 and before the end of the year Bishop, her brother, and 2 dogs, Sparky and Bubby moved to Maui.

Bishop states: “I am now joining the Lahaina Rotary Sunset Club to learn more about this community, and to find ways to give back and help make Maui feel like home.”
