Travel was executed within the domestic United States, Mexico, Canada, and Caribbean; traveling well over 100,000 airline miles annually. Kelsey is passionate about the environment and interested in finding volunteer opportunities within the local community. Fun Fact:  Kelsey has flown over 700,000 airline miles before the age of 25.
Bob Coons was born in South Orange, New Jersey, and after completing high school there, moved to Denver, Colorado and received a 4-year degree in business administration from the University of Denver. After 2 years serving in the U.S. Navy, Bob moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he met his wife, raised his family and founded a trucking company serving California. Bob and his late wife Kathleen developed a love for Maui during their frequent trips to visit their son Jerry and daughter Kerry, who had moved to the island in 2000. Bob has been a yearly volunteer at the Kapalua Tournament of Champions golf event, where Jerry worked as a golf professional until 2016. After the death of his wife, Bob moved full-time to Maui in 2016 and since then has worked at the Maui Invitational Basketball Tournament, and also as an election worker at the Lahaina Polling station in elections beginning in 2016. Bob volunteers at Kaunoa Assisted Transportation as a driver, and at AARP income tax preparation at the Lahaina Senior Center as a greeter. Bob is looking forward to volunteering for the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset, and to participate in the programs and events it offers
Michiko Nani Smith born and raised Lahaina, Maui. Received her education at Notre Dame College with a BS in Environmental Science. She lived off Maui for 7 years and realized that Hawai'i is where she needed to be. As an avid surfer she noticed the poor reef health in the oceans and felt it was her kuleana to do something about it. She started an awareness group named Rebel Hawai’i to educate the public about the harmful effects of most commercial sunscreen available on island. She provides alternative sunscreen along the beaches of Maui. She gathers the Lahaina community to do beach clean ups on the weekends. And is in the process of starting a research project to monitor different coral species. Knowing the relationship between ocean and mountain, Michiko is honored to take part on the mauna by working as a field crew member for Mauna Kahalawai Watershed Partnership. Her heart and soul is Hawai’i.
