New Members Inducted May 7, 2024
At the meeting on May 7th Ken and Mary Krass were inducted as the newest members of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset. Assistant Governor Al Weiland served as induction officer, and they were sponsored by Joanne Laird. Ken and Mary reside part of the year on Maui and live in Newcastle, Washington. Both Ken and Mary are retired from careers in the travel industry. Ken’s profession centered around the travel industry, having worked with an airline, cruise line, tour company, hotel chain and finally an airline in-flight magazine publisher. Mary began her professional career as a travel agent helping clients plan their business trips and dream vacations. She then joined an international airline as a reservation agent, advancing to a role as a business development manager; finally, as tour and leisure marketing manager, Mary directed the airlines vacation package program.
Ken and Mary plan on attending meetings via Zoom until they return to Maui later this year. Both are looking forward to serving and helping make an impact on our Maui community – even if it is from afar!
