Lahaina Sunset captures MEDIUM Club-of-the-Year for 2019-20
On Friday May 14, 2021 the District Governor Eric Kaler for 2019-20 announced the winners of the District 5000 Awards for that year. Those submissions were turned in at the end of March in 2020, but due to the pandemic there was no district conference - so that year’s awards were announced at this year’s virtual district conference. Last year we were in the Medium Club division - which was clubs with 26-49 members. (This year we are in the Large Club division - the numbers were changed and Large Clubs are now clubs with 30 or more members--go figure!!)
Below are the announced winners in each Avenue of Service for 2019-20. And you can see - we tied for the Club of the Year Award with the Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunrise!
So many thanks to each and every one of our members who gave so much of their time, talents and treasury to assist our community and beyond - especially when the pandemic hit us hard in the Spring. Lahaina Sunset Rocks!
Be sure to remember that our Club Virtual Visioning Activity is scheduled during our meeting time on June 1st. We are so strong because so many of you participate in this activity to set the goals for our next Rotary year. Please mark you calendars!!
