ROTARY CLUB OF LAHAINA SUNSET WELCOMES NORM BEZANE
At a recent meeting the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset welcomed back Charter Member Norm Bezane. Bezane was re-inducted into the club by Rotary District 5000 Governor Randy Hart and was sponsored by his wife Sara Foley Bezane.
Norm has a 20-year history with several Rotary Clubs on West Maui. When the Lahaina Sunset Club was chartered in 2014 Norm served as public image chair and instituted the club’s first website. While a member of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunrise he spearheaded the renovations of the Lahaina Public Library. This labor-intensive and fundraising endeavor transformed the library to its former glory. Meanwhile Norm was turning out over 200 “Beyond the Beach” columns for the Lahaina News and published three volumes of “Voices of Aloha, Magical Maui”. Norm is looking forward to helping with Vocational Service activities so that members can learn about local businesses and serve as mentors to local Maui youth.
